SORENSON
ELECTED PRESIDENT OF INTERNATIONAL PGA
(November 17, 2010)
- Glenn Sorenson, head professional
at the St. Lucia Golf Club in Gros Islet, St.
Lucia, has been elected president of the International
PGA by the Board of Directors, succeeding interim
president Glen Pratt.
“It is an honor to be elected in this capacity,”
said Sorenson. “I look forward to welcoming
and providing the opportunity for every professional
golfer, regardless of race, religion, or national
origin, to become a member of our association.”
Sorenson will serve a 10-year term as president.
The International PGA acts as one voice for
professional golfers worldwide. Formed in 2008,
the association serves to unify and benefit
the world’s professional golfers and their associations
worldwide. The International PGA believes it
is important that professional golfers everywhere
know what is going on in the business world
globally. It believes that belonging to an international
organization is more effective than belonging
to a regional entity, due to the fact that being
informed globally is more important than ever.

to all current PGA and World Golf Teachers Federation
members in good standing from every golfing

LUCIA GOLF CLUB NEW HOME OF INTERNATIONAL PGA
Glenn Sorenson, newly-elected
president of the International PGA, has announced
that St. Lucia Golf Club in Gros Islet, St.
Lucia, West Indies, has been named as the official
home of the International PGA.
St. Lucia Golf Club is a 6,685-yard
par-71 course located on the northern tip of
the island in Cap Estates. Its natural beauty,
ocean views, and superb conditioning make for
a top-notch golf adventure. The club boasts
a 20,000 square foot clubhouse, complete with
banquet facilities, restaurant, and other amenities.
St. Lucia itself is a tropical
